Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 November / Trend Capital / The second stage of the first level of actuary courses in Azerbaijan held by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ministry of Finance and the Azerbaijani Association of Insurers, came to the end, the USAID said on November 22.
A ceremony to certify 13 actuaries will be held on November 24 with the participation of Paul Davis, senior economist of the USAID office in Azerbaijan, Namig Khalilov, manager of the state insurance supervision department of the ministry, Gafar Majidov, acting director of the Association of Insurers and Michael Dzi, senior trainer.
The USAID jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the association offered their assistance in the implementation of the Actuarial Education Program (AEP). The AEP will assist in increase of technical examination and professional work opportunities, directly connected to the insurance field of Azerbaijan.
The program will also offer an opportunity for six actuaries to get international level for the complete realization of the professional certification that is one of the essential requirements for Azerbaijan to enter the International Trade Organization.
